Job Description: The Contractor [TBD] (hereinafter referred to as the “Contractor”) agrees to provide the California Department of Technology, Office of Technology Services (OTech) with, zSystems Infrastructure Services, zOS Storage unit with these services.
Knowledge transfer, staff augmentation, and the specialized skillset to assist in maintaining the complex mainframe system. The skillset needed includes, but not limited to:
  • Designing, installing, maintaining, programming, testing, and monitoring of complex mainframe storage system hardware and software products.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems, applying fixes, testing changes.
  • Installation and maintenance of storage equipment which includes VTS, DASD, SAN equipment, and products following CDT standards.
  • Design/support of the DFSMS suite of products, other IBM utilities, and ISV products.
  • Installation and maintenance of zOS related program products following CDT standards.
  • Design and support of IBM zOS Storage software and hardware platform.

Contractor Qualifications: The Contractor shall provide one (1) consultant who meets the qualifications described below.
A. Mandatory Qualifications - Must show a minimum of seven (7) to 10 years of zOS Storage experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas, including but not limited to:
  • Installing, maintaining, programming, testing, and monitoring of complex mainframe storage system hardware and software products.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems, applying fixes, testing changes.
  • Installation and maintenance of storage equipment which includes VTS, DASD, SAN equipment, and products following CDT standards.
  • Design/support of the DFSMS suite of products, other IBM utilities, and ISV products.
  • Installation and maintenance of zOS related program products following CDT standards.
  • Design and support of IBM zOS Storage software and hardware platform.

B. Desirable Qualifications:
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and share knowledge with staff.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workflow and projects.
