Job Description:
This position is responsible for engineering, implementing, and supporting virtualization infrastructure, including server hardware platforms, VMware solutions, and related technologies. This is a 7x24x365 support organization, and some after-hours work is required.
•BS/BA in Computer Science or MIS is desired or equivalent work experience
•Strong experience and knowledge of server hardware platforms and components (CPU, memory, disks, storage area networks, BIOS, firmware, and drivers).
Experience and knowledge of Dell hardware is particularly helpful.
•Strong experience and knowledge of VMware ESXi and vCenter. Experience and knowledge of VMware v SAN, v ROps, and NSX is particularly helpful.
•Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as VLANs, switches, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
•Demonstrated knowledge of scripting for automation using Power CLI is a plus
•Basic knowledge of security policies
•Ability to provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
•General knowledge of information technologies (those currently used within the system and new technologies)
•Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments
•High initiative
•Ability to negotiate with and influence others - internally as well as vendors
•Ability to build relationships and work in a team atmosphere as well as work independently

•Diagnose and resolve problems to meet service level expectations.
