Job Description


Join our dynamic team in Fort Worth, TX, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative product design and development activities for the Midas Rex dissecting tools portfolio. This role focuses on a Closed Loop Control initiative aimed at enhancing product manufacturability. Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to optimize designs for production readiness.
Responsibilities
  • Support design development and refinement through CAD modeling, drawing updates, and interpretation of engineering specifications.
  • Assist in CNC grinding setup and troubleshooting.
  • Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure critical dimensions meet functional and manufacturing requirements.
  • Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively identify and mitigate product and process risks.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transition new designs into production or update current designs based on production feedback, troubleshoot issues, and improve yield and reliability.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and root cause investigations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Document technical analyses and support deliverables required for design control and product development processes.
Top 3 Technical Skills Required
  • Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA), understanding CNC grinding is a plus.
  • CAD/understanding of drawings/ Creo Surface Modeling is a plus.
  • Tolerance stacking and GD&T.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Candidates with 0-20 years of experience are welcome to apply.
Additional Information
  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
  • On-site work required in Fort Worth, TX.
  • Immediate start, interviews to be scheduled ASAP.
  • Support the Midas Rex Dissecting Tools product line, with potential involvement in other Midas Rex components.

  • Design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot, and provide technical skills during research and/or product development.
  • Design studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.
  • Translate research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
  • Deliver and/or manage projects, working with stakeholders to achieve desired results.
  • May act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of other lower-level professionals.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Practical knowledge of project management is a plus. Requires a University Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
