Job Title: RS Aircraft Technician II
Location: Dallas, TX 75235
Duration: 6 Months Contract (with possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $33.81/hr (W2)
Shift Timings: First Shift –05: 25 AM to 04: 05 PM
 
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced RS Aircraft Technician II to perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mid to large-size aircraft under minimal supervision. The technician will ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company quality standards while supporting aircraft operations in hangar and ramp environments.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards
  • Complete CMP cards, work orders, and documentation accurately
  • Coordinate with inspection teams and support shift turnovers
  • Operate ground support equipment safely (tow tugs, lifts, hydraulic systems, etc.)
  • Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas
  • Train and support junior technicians
  • Maintain and protect customer property and aircraft components
  • Use material tracking systems for parts, labor, and work orders
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain clean workspaces (Lean/6S practices)
  • Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight test participation if required
 
Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and structures
  • Experience with mid/large aircraft maintenance
  • Understanding of FAA regulations and repair station processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Familiarity with ground support equipment operations
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement practices
  • Attention to detail and safety compliance
 
Education & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (Mandatory)
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (Required)
  • Either: 2+ years of aviation maintenance experience OR 4+ years of aviation maintenance experience (including 2 years on mid/large aircraft)
  • Valid Driver’s License (Required)
  • Proficiency in English (read/write/speak)
