Job Summary
We are seeking motivated Winder Operators to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating winding and packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate winders, packaging machines, and banding equipment.
- Monitor production lines and perform quality checks.
- Print and apply pallet labels accurately.
- Track scrap and production data.
- Assist with product changeovers and web break repairs.
- Maintain housekeeping and workplace organization.
- Communicate quality and equipment concerns promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and standard operating practices.
- Support team training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Manufacturing or process-related experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SAP, or similar systems is a plus.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Ability to distinguish colors and shading.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Must be able to become forklift certified if required.
