Packaging Operations Operator 1
Job Description
Work days/hours: Mon - Thurs 7am - 5: 30pm, ocasional overtime as needed.
*Possible contract to hire depending on worker performance.
Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and adheres to quality guidelines. Works within a high degree of supervision and has minimal discretion.
Responsibilities and Duties
o Manually packages kits
o Performs cleaning functions
o Tests / Inspects parts for in-process quality checks
o Performs some training of others
o Accurately completes paperwork
o Pulls a few raw materials for order
o Feeds a few raw materials on production line
o Demonstrates the ability to follow and document in established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
o Must follow all housekeeping policies and procedures
o Must follow all safety policies and procedures
o Must be able to work overtime as required to meet business requirements
o Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience:
o High School degree or GED
o 1 year manufacturing experience
Minimum Requirements:
o Ability to stand for long periods of time
o Ability to lift 40 lbs
o Ability to do repetitive motion
Basic Skills:
o Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate successfully across the department
o Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification
Proficient/Working Skills:
o Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
o Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required
