Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (Precision Cleaner)
Location: Wilmington, MA 01887
Duration: 12+ months (Temp to Direct hire)
Pay rate: $35/hr. –$
40 /hr. On w2 (All inclusive)
2nd Shift: 2PM-1130PM (9/80 Schedule)

Job Description:
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Precision Cleaner to join our team supporting critical space hardware projects. In this role, you will follow engineering instructions to ensure that all parts meet strict technical cleanliness requirements essential for space applications. You will be responsible for performing particulate counts and NVR (Non-Volatile Residue) testing to verify that components meet the 100A/2 cleanliness level. In common terms, this means you will help ensure that parts are almost entirely free of dust, particles, and residue-so clean that even microscopic contaminants are measured and controlled.
Essential Functions:
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area, including schedule and cost.
  • Read, understand, and follow documentation to complete tasks in accordance with program and company requirements.
  • Ability to meet customer needs/demands
  • Follow detailed engineering instructions to clean and inspect space hardware parts to meet technical cleanliness requirements
  • Perform particulate counts and NVR (Non-Volatile Residue) testing to verify cleanliness at the 100A/2 level, ensuring parts are nearly free of microscopic dust, particles, and residue
  • Work independently in an ISO 5 cleanroom environment, wearing a full bunny suit to prevent contamination
  • Stand for extended periods and lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Handle and clean parts using approved solvents, including isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and be comfortable working in environments where IPA is present
  • Document cleaning processes, inspection results, and any deviations from cleanliness standards
  • Communicate effectively with engineers and team members to clarify requirements and report issues
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols at all times
  • Operate and maintain cleaning and testing equipment according to established procedures
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance cleaning processes and meet evolving cleanliness standards
  • This position will train on 1st shift until the employee is certified in our precision cleaning process.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience within a Class 100 (ISO 5) clean room.
  • Good computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read drawings and/or schematics per industry specifications.
Education & Experience
  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
