Job Title:      Manufacturing Engineer
Location:     Santa Rosa, CA
Duration:     06+ months
Day shift:      7: 30am - 4pm
 
Duties:
  • Designs and develops new IT technical solutions/capabilities to solve large, complex business problems and deliver new capabilities.
  • In PMTC this person is focused on implementation of IIoT/Industry 4.0 applications, connecting PMTC equipment to software and systems to enable this technology.
  • Responsible for technical planning, designing, development and modification of new solution specifications and application.
  • This includes technical design of content structure, user/process flows and interfaces.
  • Proficient in information technology, platforms and architecture.
  • Manages large information technology vendors in the technical aspects of designing and developing IT solutions.
  • Interface with PMTC production equipment regarding IT services and machine support.
  • Provide IT support for the PMTC manufacturing staff regarding all computer software and hardware related activities.
  • Determines and develops approaches to assignments
  • Contributes IT technical content to projects and programs.
  • Applies deep technical specialization to solve a broad range of problems of varying scope and complexity.
  • Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (cloud) product systems.
  • Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies, and supports operating systems, database, or utilities software.
  • Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions.
  • AI/ML applications experience.
 
Skills: 
  • Applications: Analyzes, designs, configures and tests software programs through the entire product life cycle from business partner requirement definition to release and support.
  • May develop and debug software;may design and execute test plans to ensure software meets specifications, functionalities, and performance requirements.
  • Monitors industry trends for technological evolutions and leverages appropriate technology.
  • Computing: Assesses requirements, designs systems, and manages the lifecycle of computing hardware and database systems.
  • May configure devices, including servers, storage devices, and PCs, and perform validation testing.
  • May involve monitoring of hardware devices, patch management and troubleshooting issues.
  • Proficient in the latest technical features such as virtualization, cloud/IaaS/PaaS, and the like.
  • Networking: Assesses requirements, designs systems, and manages the lifecycle of network systems.
  • May configure network and voice devices and perform validation testing.
  • Proficient in the latest technical features such as software-defined networking and network security.
  • Security:  Develops and executes security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce, and web-based systems.
  • Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures.
  • Maintains hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols.
  • Administers security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems.
  • Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information and systems.
 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or University Degree or equivalent.
  • Typically 4-5 years relevant experience for entry to this level.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently.
