Location: Northampton MA USA 01060
Duration: 09 months (Possible extension)
Pay rate: $25- $30/hr. (Based on experience)
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3: 30pm

A Forklift Mechanic need to support Forklift maintenance at the Northampton, MA plant.
Shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3: 30pm

** Forklift Mechanic**
Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities
•Perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on electric and internal combustion (IC) forklifts.
•Diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment including electric and LP forklifts, pallet jacks, and aerial lifts
•Ensure operational safety and minimal downtime of Lifts
•Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulic systems, electrical systems, engines, transmissions, braking systems, and mast assemblies.
•Repair or replace broken parts, including motors, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
•Inspection, maintenance and minor repairs of PIT batteries and battery changing equipment
•Conduct safety inspections and testing on equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
•Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and work orders using computer systems.
•Order and manage service inventory.
Qualification and Additional Requirements
•High School Diploma, General Education.
•Related Trade/Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
•Minimum 3 years'experience as a forklift technician or similar heavy equipment mechanic role.
•In-depth knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
