Job Description

Job Title: Legal Specialist
Job Duration: 06 Months Contract
Est. Pay Range: $42.00 –$65.00/hr. On W2
Location: Framingham, MA 01701 (Hybrid - Tues and Wed in office)

Job Description:
  • This role will work in the Client Associate Relations Practices (ARP) department supporting the ARP team and the Company’s Human Resources community on various employment matters.
  • This role will collaborate with other departments and interact with in-house and outside counsel
 Key Responsibilities:
  • Support administration of I-9 forms, E-Verify, and related immigration issues
  • Direct subpoenas and external requests for information to the proper departments
  • Facilitate communication with state labor agencies
  • Conduct research on a variety of employment topics such wage and hour laws, minor labor laws, protected job leave laws, etc., and communicate findings appropriately
  • Other tasks or projects, large or small, as assigned
 Required Skills and Experience:
  • Seeking licensed attorney with 3-8 years’legal experience.
  • Motivated self-starter with an eye for detail and excellent organization skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Willingness and proven ability to learn on the job
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, or collaboratively across functional areas, as needed
  • MS Word and Excel competence (including redlining, formatting, editing, sorting, basic formulas)
License/Certification:
  • Licenses attorney (active status, any state in the US)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Direct experience supporting I-9 and/or E-Verify functions and/or in HR, employee relations, employment law, immigration law, or with a related government agency is preferred
