Interior Installation Tech II
Job Description
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of installation, fabrication, or related experience
- Aerospace experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interior components such as:
- Panels, carpets, insulation, cabinetry, trim, and structures
- Work on interior sections like:
- Galleys, lavatories, closets, bulkheads, doors, and side panels
- Follow company standards, FAA regulations, and quality guidelines
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments as needed
- Use systems to:
- Track parts
- Record work completed
- Report issues (squawks)
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment (hand tools, saws, sanders, etc.)
- Install and secure hardware like fasteners, nut plates, and fittings
- Assist other technicians with maintenance tasks
- Adapt to changing work schedules and priorities
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- Use protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Identify and report unsafe conditions
Additional Duties
- Support process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Create and use basic patterns/templates
- Assist with aircraft testing, including possible flight tests
- Perform other assigned tasks
Skills & Abilities
- Read and understand blueprints and technical documents
- Use hand and power tools effectively
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to:
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Work in tight spaces
- Climb ladders/stairs
- Work different shifts
