Location: Greenville SC 29615
Duration: 8+ Months
Pay rate range: $60.00 - $62.87/hour

Job Description:

HGP Design Liaison Engineer - Finite Element Analysis & Lifing
Use ANSYS Classic to model and run mechanical lifing analysis for various defects in Gas Turbine rotating blades.
Use NX to manipulate models and modify geometry
Post-Process, document, and present analysis results to technical team
Use various other lifing tools and templates to complete engineering evaluations
Understand and follow mechanical design practices and templates

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Must Have:

ANSYS Classic
ANSYS Finite Element Analysis
Humble, open-minded, self-motivated, and a continuous learner
NX Solid Modelling
Relevant mechanical engineering experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery, specifically hot gas path components.
Solid understanding of Engineering Mechanics and Failure Modes (LCF, Creep, HCF)
Strong organizational and communication skills

Manufacturing experience
Well versed in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control
Background on HGP components, especially rotating turbine blades
Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations
Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes
Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation
Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver the best products
