Location: 110 Merritt Boulevard, Fishkill, NY 12524 (100% Onsite, 5 Days/Week)
Pay Rate: $30 to $32/hr on W2
Interview Process: 2 Rounds (Virtual + Onsite)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide exceptional end-user technology support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and application-related issues while delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote technical support for end users.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
- Diagnose and resolve Windows operating system and Microsoft application problems.
- Support Office 365 and enterprise productivity tools.
- Research, troubleshoot, resolve, or escalate incidents through established support processes.
- Track and manage incidents using a ticketing system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues and resolutions.
- Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders throughout the support lifecycle.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution.
- Support device deployments, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Desktop Support, Technical Support, IT Support, or End User Support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Active Directory user administration.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enterprise-level desktop support experience.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience supporting both onsite and remote users.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or equivalent.
