Job Title: Construction Manager
Location: Trenton, NJ (Onsite)

 
Position Overview
The Construction Manager is accountable for all Civil Works and associated financial control through scheduling, Service Provider/Authorized Service Provider (SP/ASP) management, and quality management on assigned projects. This role ensures all Service Providers adhere to Ericsson standards, processes, and procedures, as well as all Federal, Local, and customer standards. The Construction Manager identifies continuous improvement opportunities and provides leadership to drive quality and results.
External Interfaces: ASP/SP, Customer Project Manager
Internal Interfaces: IM Lead, Project Administrator, Project Sponsor, CPM
 
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Management
  • Assess and control charges to the agreed site design.
  • Coordinate site activities and ensure all disciplines are aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Drive schedule activities and troubleshoot issues impacting progress.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings.
  • Provide accurate status updates and regular progress reports to project management.
  • Provide technical assistance to Service Providers and suppliers supporting Civil Works.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure only customer-approved materials are installed.
  • Enforce agreed Civil Works guidelines and schedules.
  • Ensure Service Providers and vendors meet Ericsson and customer technical specifications.
  • Ensure workmanship quality meets contract, Ericsson standards, and customer expectations.
  • Perform site pre-inspections, post-construction audits, site verification, and visual quality inspections.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with civil design plans.
  • Reject incorrect material deliveries and report poor performance or quality issues.
Safety & Work Environment
  • Enforce Ericsson, Federal, Local, and customer safety guidelines and construction procedures.
  • Maintain acceptable working environment and conduct safety inspections.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of worker safety and work-environment safety.
  • Provide on-site supervision where risk to customer site performance is high.
Documentation & Systems
  • Maintain and update construction-specific areas of Site Handler, including:
    • SOW and pre-construction documents (NTP, RFDS, safety guidance, QA standards, etc.)
    • NTP receipt verification
    • RFDS submission reviews and changes
    • Civil acceptance documents and approvals
    • Daily Civil progress PFA verification
    • Close-out document review and acceptance sign-off
  • Write claims, order materials, and manage returns.
Leadership
  • Supervise, coordinate, and monitor Service Providers and interfacing disciplines.
  • Provide team leadership with a focus on quality and results.

  • Develops and improves existing procedures, techniques, and methods.

  • Guides and leads others.
 
Experience & Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Job-related experience supporting project builds over 500 sites.
 
Required Training / Certifications
  • OSHA 30
  • RF Awareness
  • CPR / First Aid
  • Ergonomics
  • Any required refresher training
