CMM Programmer
Location: Wilmington, MA 01887 (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months (Possible extension )
Pay rate range: $40 –$45/hr on w2 (All inclusive)
Shift hours are 8AM-5: 30PM Mon-Th Fri 8 AM-4: 30PM Every other Friday off (flexible)
 
Description:
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming and operation, with particular proficiency in Calypso software. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain CMM programs using Calypso software.
  • Conduct precise measurements and inspections of complex parts using CMM equipment.
  • Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications to assure GD&T compliance.
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Document, track, and report inspection results and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain CMM equipment to ensure operational efficiency and precision.
  • Train and support other quality personnel in CMM operation and GD&T interpretation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in CMM programming and operation, specifically with Calypso software.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in quality inspection.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in CMM programming or quality inspection (e.G., ASQ Certified Quality Technician).
  • Experience with other metrology tools and software.
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing industrie
