Job Description

Location Address: 44 King Street W 13th Floor (44K-13) –hybrid- onsite 3-4x/week
Contract Duration: ASAP –10/30/2026
Possibility of extension and conversion to FTE
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday;standard 37.5 hrs/week (Possible OT)

Business group: Global Payroll & Time Standards Office
Project: SAP Employee Central Payroll Canada project

Contributes to the overall success of the Total Rewards Solutions team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Typical Day in Role:
•Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
•Defining and managing scope throughout the project life cycle. Understanding the business objective(s) and the possible solutions;provides valuable insight to ensure the critical features are defined correctly and that unnecessary features are omitted while adhering to the needs of the Business Objective and the Project
•Business Requirements Management including:
o Responsible for leading the end-to-end requirement gathering for the Payroll Transformation Project
o Responsible for overseeing the work of Junior BA
o Facilitating requirements gathering sessions with Business and Technical SME’s and highlighting areas of expertise that may be missing in order to further refine the requirements
o The Senior BA will ensure that the needs of the Business and Project objective are considered and document them in a standardized format
o Assist the business and technical SME in process design. Model and document business and user requirements in user stories, workflows, processes and business rules
o Interacts with system and product owners to validate requirements and their implementation
o Root cause and gap analysis and the design of future state workflow processes and procedures and analyzes system flows
o Determining business impact for changes in processes and procedures
o Defining system application requirements for modifications to existing processes, or the creation of new applications and/or processes
o Bridge the gap between the business requirements and the technical requirements
o Implementation of operational effectiveness plans and solutions
-Serving as a representative of the business and advocate for the business stakeholder (s) to limit the impact of their potential absence on the project
-Maintaining working relationships with two implementation partners to deliver on finalizing requirements
-Assisting with testing and testing documentation including preparing a requirements traceability matrix, reviewing test cases/scenario’s and becoming an integral part of the testing life cycle by triaging defects and mapping them back to the requirements/scope
-Knowledge Transfer documentation including playbooks, standardizing artifacts and operational handover support models
-Assists with change management strategies and facilitate or support training needs
-May be requested to consult on strategies, recommendations, business benefits and implementation as the key contact and gatekeeper of scope and business requirements
-Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
•Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
•Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with ***’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
2. IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) required
3. Competence in systematically solving problems using appropriate process improvement methodologies to analyze complex data/information from different cross-functional teams, both locally and globally
4. Familiarity with related software programs (such MS Visio, MS Projects, Power BI, Excel, JIRA, etc.)
5. Previous experience analyzing and documenting end-to-end workflows, data and HR system integrations, and technology platforms

Nice-To-Have Skills:
1. PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
2. Programming skills and Python
3. Knowledge of Human Resource policies, procedures, systems, and operational processes
4. Fluency is Spanish
5. Prior experience with transformation or Payroll
6. Experience with HR platforms (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft)
7. Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) and DFSS concepts and principles
8. Working knowledge of data analysis for process improvement


Education: Post-secondary degree in Human Resource, Business (Operations), Science, Engineering or HR Technology is an asset

Best VS. Average Candidate: The ideal candidate would have strong experience with transformation or Payroll and would be familiar with the HR platforms listed under NTH.
