Workforce Development Program Specialist
Job Description
The Workforce Development Program Specialist provides leadership and advanced case management support within workforce development programs. This role supports unemployed and underemployed individuals in accessing career training and employment opportunities while ensuring compliance with workforce grant requirements. The position also provides guidance to Career Services staff, supports budget and training oversight, and helps maintain program integrity through policy implementation and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced case management and career guidance to program participants.
- Support participants in accessing approved training, supportive services, and employment pathways.
- Assist with monitoring program budgets, training expenditures, and participant eligibility.
- Ensure compliance with workforce development policies, grant regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Support and guide Career Services team members in understanding program policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with training providers, employers, and partner agencies to support participant success.
- Review documentation and case files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Assist with program monitoring, performance tracking, and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications (Summary)
- Experience in workforce development, case management, career services, or related programs.
- Knowledge of workforce grants, training programs, and compliance requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, partners, and program participants.
