Job Description:

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial and accounting operations of the Global Business by performing a variety of accounting tasks. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within the finance team.

Essential Functions:

•Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

•Support month-end and year-end close processes.

•Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

•Prepare and post journal entries as needed.

•Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

•Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

•Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.

•Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

•Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and reporting.

•Perform ad hoc projects assigned.

•Support special projects and initiatives within the finance department.

Preferred Additional Skills:

•Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret financial data and trends.

•Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.G., SAP, Oracle).

•Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

•Effective communication with clients, vendors, and colleagues.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

•Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards affecting financial reporting and analysis.

•Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Minimum 2 year degree, accounting, finance, business or similar.
